India Geographic Intelligence

Choose geography, a pillar and an evidence level using separate, clearly labelled controls.

Place → question → evidence → action

Choose a place. Understand what the evidence can show.

Use the filters to describe the area and subject you want to investigate. A state-wide figure cannot establish conditions in one district, village or street. A missing record means that reliable information is still needed; it does not mean the area has no problem.

No reliable data is connected to this view. The filters organise a research request. They do not calculate a score, display verified incidents or draw district-level conclusions.

Different views answer different questions.

Problem map

What is failing, who is affected and how strong is the supporting evidence?

Risk map

What could cause harm, who is exposed and what protection is available?

Opportunity map

Which resources, skills, services and market connections could support useful work?

Progress map

What changed from the starting measurement, for whom and during which period?

Initiatives map

Who is responsible for an activity, where does it operate and what results have been reported?

Global solutions map

What worked elsewhere, how was it tested and what would need to change for an Indian location?

Make every geographic claim traceable.

A useful record includes its source, reporting year, unit, collection method, area covered, boundary version, limitations and last review date. Keep reports awaiting review separate from verified findings.

Before a live map can show results, it needs verified datasets and documented geographic boundaries. Those connections are not active in this build. The current filters let you prepare a clear research view without inventing national or local statistics.

State and UT names are checked against the National Portal of India directory. District names entered here are user-supplied and are not automatically verified.

Questions about geographic evidence

Using the filters responsibly.

Do the filters display verified incidents or scores?

No verified incident or scoring dataset is connected to this view. The filters describe the place and subject to research. A selected priority or evidence filter does not establish that a matching record exists.

Why must I choose a state before entering a district?

A district name needs a state or Union Territory for context. After choosing the state, enter the district and optional public local-area name. Those typed names are not automatically verified against official boundaries.

Does missing information mean there is no problem?

No. Missing or unreliable evidence means the condition is unknown. It should not be presented as a low score, a safe area or a successful programme.

What should support a future map result?

A source, reporting period, unit, collection method, covered area, boundary version and limitations should accompany the result. Local figures must match the actual geography measured.

Are my filter selections submitted?

No. Apply filters updates the selected-view summary in this page. It does not send a report, contact an external map service or submit a contribution.

How can I add local evidence?

Use Report a local problem or the participation route. State the public location, date, observed problem and supporting source. Avoid private addresses, identifiable survivor information and personal medical records.
